SCAVENGER HUNT

Welcome to the 2026 HTX Group Scavenger Hunt!  The rules are simple… Below is a list of 67 simple to find items!  How you tackle the hunt is completely up to you. You may choose to scour the city to find these items, or you may recreate some of them. Just be sure to take a photo! To receive full points for each item, you must follow the tagging instructions below. 

Rules:

1. At least one member of your group MUST HAVE INSTAGRAM and follow our HTX Group Profile.
2. Take a photo/video of your scavenger hunt item and upload it to your Instagram.
3. Tag @HTX_Group. Be sure to type it exactly as is so that we are notified, and you can get credit for your post.
4. Hashtag the item number you are wanting to get credit for. Example: “#21” You may have more than one item in the photo or video so use as many hashtags in your post as applicable.
5. All photos must be taken on the day of the event. Entries submitted past 1:00pm will not be accepted.

Some Dos and Don’ts:

1. No website screenshots. You may not take a picture of something on a website and call it your own.  These photos will not be counted!
2. If we cannot figure out what your picture is, we will not count it so be sure to take your time setting up the shot.  
3. Your photograph/video can count for more than one item on the list if you can present the argument for it. Just be sure to tag each item.
4. NO SPEEDING! Drive Safe out there!
5. Be courteous and remember to have fun!

3. Get a stranger who needs a realtor to come to the after party at 1PM to get a $100 Amazon gift card!

40. Picture- Serving a pickle on a pickleball court.

20. Picture- Entire team with “manly” props at Man Ready Mercantile

7. Picture-Everyone in a boat. Entire boat must be in frame

48. Video- Reading “How to piss off men” in a comfy chair inside Barnes and Noble in Town and Country. Zoom in on the book

54. Picture- Team in a human chain around or in front of a Houston Mural. www.houstonmuralmap.com

12. Picture- A Randall’s Employee drinking Starbucks

14. Picture- A whole goat or lamb in a butchers display at Phoenicia

8. Video- A Buchanan’s employee following HTX group on the gram

33. Video- Eating Spaghetti at Jollibee

10. Video- A monarch butterfly

32. Picture- Owl Eyes Mural

15. Picture- A large digital clock displaying 12:34

53. Picture- Entire team in front of a Texas shaped item

42. Picture or Video- A stranger wearing a HTX Group T-shirt

65. Picture or Video- teams choice but it has to be funny

59. Video- Recreate a scene from Nacho Libre inside Casa De Leon

16. Video- an elderly person re-enacting the 6-7 Kid

2. Picture- A stranger showing their phone that they follow htx_group

31. Video- walking in the doors of Houston arboretum Discovery Room(double points if holding/petting an animal in the discover room)

45. Video- Narrate a nature documentary(think David Attenborough) of someone eating

56. Picture- Team in a human pyramid(involve random strangers if needed)

11. Picture- the team in front of the entry sign to the Houston Audubon in the MDUM parking lot

39. Video- a team member doing Warrior 2 on a couch in Ikea

30. Picture- with the guard at the guard gate at Club westside

22. Picture- with item number 505.994.16 at ikea

58. Picture- Crashing a game at The Decoy!

46. Video- high fiving a complete stranger in front of Loves Dumpling House with a completely serious face while saying loudly to the camera “Their Aura feels drippy”

18. Video- Ask a grown up(interview style) how to start an aura farm

37. Picture- The most expensive item at C&D Hardware or Tom’s Hardware

36. Picture- in front of a Union Pacific Railroad engine

64. Picture- find public art and recreate it’s pose

27. Photo- seasonal cookie at Tinys Milk and Cookies

63. Video- get a stranger to film your entire team doing the Chicken Dance without any music

19. Picture- 67 yellow flowers

47. Picture- in front of a HTX Group listing sign

13. Picture- Hostess at Kasra- double points if you’re in the picture with parsley in your nose

25. Photo- Footprints in the sand.

55. Picture- Houston skyline selfie

60. Video- Walk up and ask one of the following questions news reporter style to a stranger and get them to answer:
“Would you rather have a nose as a toe? Or a toe as a nose?”
“ How would you describe the color yellow to someone who is blind?”
“ Where does your lap go when you stand up?”
“What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow carrying a coconut?”

6. Video- eating an Al Pastor taco(with onions, Cilantro and green sauce) at Casa De Leon

51. Video- Getting misty at the water wall

66. Picture- take a picture giving maximum Aura and Mewing

43. Picture- Planking in front of the C_TY sign in front of Mia’s table

67. Picture- Sitting somewhere you are absolutely not supposed to sit. Be Safe!

35. Video- Reenacting thriller in front of A little library in someone’s front yard

26. Photo-Bean and bottle

49. Picture- Photo-bombing another individual or team participating in the scavenger hunt

5. Video-Car wash karaoke at Buccees car wash on i10. Have to prove it’s Buccees car wash!

34. Picture- Eating a loaf of bread from Angela’s Oven

61. A Picture with a stranger wearing cowboy boots

1. Picture- Holding 6 Stanley cups(all different colors)

38. Picture- entire team holding Christina Ha cookbook at The Blind Goat!

23. Video- Weirdest item you can find at ranch 99

62. A picture with a smiling dog while your whole team frowns

41. Picture- Tell a story in 3 photos

4. Picture- A picture of someone who just left us a 5 star review on google

44. Video- Recruit strangers to participate in your team chant

28. Photo- selfie in front of Blendin Coffee Club counter

29. Picture- On the playset at Lazy Oaks

57. Video- get a stranger to smell the Vetiver & Fig candle at Forth & Nomad

52. Picture- Your teams reflection in a mirror
